I’ve changed the look of my blog again! LOL. If you turn your attention above this post, you are going to see a new feature called Interesting Links. Go on. Check it out. Hope you like it. I customized my blog’s theme to some extent. It’s partly original! I’ve also updated my profile. It contains more information about me. Please feel free to take advantage of the situation. Hahaha! Assassins and stalkers are probably jumping for joy right now.
Today is a great day for blogging. I just feel sorry for some of my neighbors who don’t have electricity. The news said that it might take up to Tuesday, October 3, for their electricity to be restored. I’m really getting hooked on this blogging thing. I don’t even remember when I started blogging. I realized that blogging isn’t always about putting hatred and uncontrollable emotions on the internet. It’s about telling the world about your everyday adventures, no matter what it is. I’m not even sure if anyone is reading my blog on a daily basis (Hahaha! That’s a real stalker), but I keep blogging because I get satisfaction out of the whole experience. I plan to take this a step further by getting my own website. I hope to have it up and running before my birthday. hehehe.
Tomorrow is another good day. Our family is going out! We’re just going to have lunch at North Park. I can’t wait to stuff those noodles inside my mouth! Yumm!

We finally have electricity! Thank God we were unharmed by yesterday’s storm. I wish I could say the same for our backyard. It was a total mess! A big part of the tree from our neighbor fell into our backyard. All the petals from the flowers are gone. It was soaking wet outside. It’s a good thing the sun finally came up when I woke up this morning. It’s a shame that some people around Luzon died yesterday. As for our family, nobody was hurt. I even went out to feel how fast the wind was blowing. It felt scary and good at the same time! I really felt like I was about to fly.
My unrealistic ambition to fly kicked in to my head once again.
When things started to calm down, our family went out to stock up on some water and chips. It was real convinience that the Shell gas station near our place was open. We also bought siomai for dinner. Hehehe.
After the very dark dinner, which reminded me of my COCC days, the whole family just bummed around the sala. The wind was blowing a gentle cool breeze. It felt really good. I almost fell asleep on the sofa. Since I had a lot of free time yesterday, I already thought of stuff to blog about in the coming days.
One thing is weird though. My computer monitor seems to be flickering. The normal, untrained eye can’t probably see it. I’m a bit worried because this never happened before. It was only after the storm. I know that this happens only when there is electro-magnetic interference. I strongly believe that the electric power that we are getting is still unstable. Or maybe it is caused by some of the cables from TV cable companies that were damaged during the storm. I still feel uneasy. The monitor might blow up anytime.
Yikes.

Get ready for a political post! Thailand’s Prime Minister, Thaksin Shinawatra, was ousted today! This is both hilarious and amazing. For one, he wasn’t even in Thailand!!! He was in New York for the U.N. General Assembly. Second, it was a bloodless Coup d’etat. This event is very reminicsent to that of Marcos’ deposition. What a horrible way to get kicked out of the government! I seriously laughed at Mr. Shinawatra. He went to New York with no knowledge of what is going to happen. How would you feel if you were in his place? In front of a number of world leaders inside the United Nations Headquarters? Then all of a sudden, you get news that you are no longer your country’s leader? I would feel enraged and stupid at the same time.
He was ousted because of several accusations very similar to GMA’s.
I envy the Thai people. They enjoy the fact that they have the military’s loyalty. In our country, that is no longer evident. From my standpoint, our military is divided. One half pledges allegiance to a soon-to-be dictator, while the other half pledges loyalty to the Filipino people. Majority of the good military personel are the young ones. They can see through the lies of Mrs. Arroyo. They can see the anomalies in our Armed Forces. I give them credit for that. They are the true patriots of our country. This event makes me want to shake the hand of a Thai native and hail their nation for such an achievement.
I wish we would experience this again. Our great nation deserves another chance. I would love to stand proud, with my head held up high, to be a Filipino.
