The one with our Manaog trip
Yesterday we went to Pangasinan to visit the shrine of Our Lady of Manaog. We left at 4am!! It so so damn early. Lol. I just listened to some music while in the car. Mom and Dean were fast asleep, again. I was the only one to keep my Dad company. By the time we got to our first stop, Burger King (:D), we ordered fried food! I had the BK Xtra-Long Chicken sandwich with fries and Sarsi. It feels good to taste something that isn’t Mac D or Jollibee. After “breakfast”, it was a long drive to the shrine. Of course, I helped my father maneuver his way on the road. We wanted to get there fast. It also felt nice because I was listening to upbeat music. Lol.
After our visit was over, we had lunch at this place called Isdaan. It was a huge restaurant wherein the tables are inside small huts which were all floating in water! It was all connected with bamboo walkways. When you look your table, you will see a lot of fish! As usual, being the superior one in the food chain, I toyed with the fish’s stupidity and inferiority. Everytime I extend my hand out of our hut, the fish would swarm over my hand!
I guess they got used to being fed by humans. So everytime they see a hand above the surface of the water, they think that it’s feeding time! I did that for 20 times and it amused me each and everytime they would swarm over my hand. Lol. Me and Dean had pork sisig while mom and dad had lechon kawali and sinigang na shrimp. It tasted good. nothing absolutely mind-blowing, but good none the less.
On our way home, there was heavy traffic along Cubao. We were stuck there for almost an hour. Thank God I brought my PSP with me. It surely helped pass time by.
I was also lucky enough to get a Wi-Fi signal when we stopped by the nearest Shell gas station. I quickly checked my email and browsed the latest news from CNN. Oh technology, what would I ever do without you?!?!
